Here Comes Santa
Jack Sorenson

Homemade Christmas gifts come from the heart and are made with the hands!

The holidays are all about family, friends and giving. Family is great, friends are great and I am all for giving at any time of the year. As soon as black Friday hits, people go into buying frenzy. The countdown is on. I’ve noticed that this year it started just after as Halloween. We even had a local radio station that started in with the Christmas tunes on November 1st!

I hate shopping. Yes, I know it’s hard to believe you are hearing those words coming from a woman. I always start out with a positive attitude and good intentions. But as soon as I hit the mall parking lot that tends to change rather quickly. Trying to find a parking spot less than a half a mile away from the building is not what I consider fun. “Excuse me, is there a shuttle that goes to the mall from here?”

Somehow each year my giving list gets longer and longer. Now I’m not complaining…. This is a good thing. But let's face it, I'm just not Santa. How can I give great presents without breaking the bank or taking out a loan to pay off the credit card?

I have been where you are right now! I have special gift ideas for you to give everyone on your list. There are always the usual family members and close friends you give gifts to. But what do you get those people whom do so much for us all year long? Do you need ideas for a gift exchange?

What about a present for your child’s teacher? (I can guarantee they don’t need another apple something or other.) Make sure you don't forget about your mail carrier, your garbage person and your hair stylist. There are last minute gift making ideas for spur of the moment gift giving too.

Are you in the business world? What about a corporate Christmas gift ideas?

How are you going to show your employees that you appreciate them?

You don’t have to worry about coming up with something creative because I have done it for you. A lot of these ideas can also be made and given to celebrate other holidays and special occasions too. The possibilities are endless!

I also try to make things easy on your wallet as well. I don't consider myself cheap. And I hate to say that I have cheap Christmas gift ideas. I would much rather use the word frugal! Some gifts are even made from recycled materials! I even have holiday cards ready right now for you to send when you need to!
