Growing up we always looked forward to Easter to find a large hollow chocolate bunny and our baskets filled with sugary deliciousness! My basket was a bright pink and my brother's was florescent green. Every year we could depend on that good ole Easter Bunny to hide one of the baskets in the oven. As we got older it became a joke. I think back to those times and how a tradition began without us even trying. These days I have started celebrating the Spring holiday with my own family. Even my husband gets an Easter basket filled with his favorites. The kids have started making their own Homemade Easter Baskets Each year they keep getting more creative and silly. I just love them! Think about how you can build memories with your children or grand children. What do you want them to think back on or joke about as adults? How about planning an Easter Egg hunt where one of the eggs is black or brown? Whoever finds this egg gets a prize! How about Green Eggs and Ham for Easter brunch? There are so many great creative things your can do to make this holiday more special. I LOVE Family Fun Magazine for their great ideas. They have some wonderful Easter crafts and other creative ideas for fun activities and homemade gifts. Something my kids have found that has been a ton of fun is the Shrinky Dinks Easter Fun 2.Welcome New Subscribers A big welcome goes out to all of my new subscribers! Here’s another yummy recipe perfect for brunch on Easter or any other morning you are looking for something great for breakfast! Brunch Pizza Brunch Pizza Ingredients 1 12" pre-baked pizza crust (Sometimes I really just want some good crust and I get the dough fromt the grocery store and bake it myself) 1 tablespoon butter 5 eggs, beaten 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) country-style cream gravy 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon 1/4 cup cooked pork sausage
Breakfast Pizza Directions 1) Place pizza crust or dough onto an ungreased pizza pan and bake according to directions. For already baked crust it's usually 375 degrees for 5 - 7 minutes. The dough will be longer. Follow package instructions. 2)In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add eggs; cook until soft-set, stirring occasionally. 3)Spread gravy over crust; top with scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon and sausage. 4)Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 6 minutes or until cheese is melted. 5)Bring out of the oven and let set for a few minutes. Use a pizza cutter to cut. Enjoy!
