Spice up your grilling with a Barbecue Chicken Rub in a jar gift.

Try using this barbecue chicken rub lightly on your chicken at first until you figure out just how spicy you would like it. Everyone's taste is different.

One year my kids and I put together some gifts with this BBQ Chicken rub and personalized aprons for the men in our families. So for example my husband's said,"Real men, like Corey, don't use recipes." The guys got a real kick out of it.

BBQ Chicken Rub in a jar gift supplies:

1 Quart Size Canning Jar

5" X 5" piece of fabric

Raffia

paper

cardstock

hole puncher

BBQ Chicken Rub Ingredients

1 cup paprika

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup garlic powder

1/4 cup dried, ground chipotles peppers

1/4 cup salt

4 tablespoons ground cumin

2 tablespoons onion powder

2 tablespoons black pepper

2 tablespoons red pepper

2 tablespoons celery salt

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Pour into clean jar and close lid. Wrap fabric around the top of the jar and tie raffia to attach fabric to the jar. Prnt out directions and mount directions onto cardstock. Punch hole in the corner of the directions and string raffia through the hole to attach directions to the jar.

Attach this note:

Rub some of the mix all over chicken. Grill or bake until cooked through and juices run clear.

Great to make on the grill with baked potatoes and corn on the cob!
