This easy beefy noodle bake is a quick homemade gift you can whip up in your own kitchen!

This fantastic beefy noodle bake recipe was sent to me by one of my valued readers. Thanks Carrie from North Carolina! I just made this homemade edible gift for a friend and made a double batch so my family could enjoy it as well. I have to say it is now a new family favorite!

As a gift I would purchase a Casserole Dish and make the noodle bake in it. When you present the casserole to the person you are giving it to make sure to let them know they don't have to return the dish.

Noodle Bake Ingredients:

1-1/2 pounds ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce

1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream

1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, cubed and softened

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 to 1 teaspoon garlic salt

7 cups uncooked wide egg noodles, cooked and drained

1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

In a large skillet, cook beef and onion until meat is no longer pink; drain. Remove from the heat; stir in the tomato sauce, sour cream, cream cheese, sugar and garlic salt. Place half of the noodles in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish; top with half of the beef mixture. Repeat layers. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with cheese; bake 3-5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

Yield: 6 servings.

TIP As a wedding gift I was given a set of CorningWare in the French White. That was 10 years ago. I still use my set almost everyday! If you are planning on buying a gift of cookware make sure the set you buy is a solid color or clear that isn't too trendy that will stay in style for a long time.

I thought the Godinger Silver 2-qt. Rectangular Porcelain Baker With Stand was a nice looking baking dish to give as a gift. It even comes with a stand.
