This great candy cane centerpiece idea was submitted to us by Dana Hanzek. This is such a great homemade Christmas decoration. I always think that homemade Christmas ornaments decorations and ornaments add such a special touch to the holidays. When I saw this candy cane craft I thought it was an easy project with supplies that could easily be found. Super bonus!! The wonderful thing about this project is that kids can make them to give to Grandparents, God parents, teachers and any other special people that you need a gift for.
25 heavy plastic candy cane striped straws (Found at a Dollar Store)
1 - 20oz bottle cap from a soda bottle
Clear Glass Tealight Candle Holders (The tea light holders that were used were clear, but you could easily use red or green)
Tealight Candles ( I love the cranberry and vanilla scented tea lights. They always say holidays to me!)
Always use caution when using a hot glue gun!
1) Hot glued ends to 20oz bottle cap
2) Epoxie the glass tea light candle holder on top of the straw in the middle of the centerpiece on top of the bottle cap.
3) Hot glued berries around the glass tea light holder on top of the straws
