Edible gifts are great to give for so many different occasions. Food presents can be unique gourmet food baskets to a home cooked meal.
When we had our first child we received lots of baby gifts. But the gifts we appreciated the most were the gifts of food and the meals our friends and family prepared and delivered to us the first few weeks home with a new born. It was wonderful not to have to worry about what I was going to make for dinner.
So you say you can't cook eh? Well, don't worry. How about getting restaurant menus from the gift recipient's favorite restaurants along with gift cards or food gift certificates? It's an easy and fast gift with no dishes to do. Clean up is a snap!
I love putting together food basket gifts! What about homemade jams, jellies and preserves along with a fresh baked loaf of bread? Doesn't have to be out of your oven either. I'm sure you know of a great bakery near you. Yum!
Homemade adult spirits are always fun to give. There are many different recipes for all kind of alcoholic beverages. Make some micro brew beer, Irish Cream, cocktail mixes, home made wine. Personalize your gift to the person’s specific tastes.
How about putting together a spice basket? Spices do have a shelf life you know. Did you know that if pepper makes you sneeze it is spoiled and should be thrown away? What a neat housewarming gift idea.
