Fried slow cooker chicken is a wonderful alternative to making fried chicken on the stove.
Fried slow cooker chicken is an easy alternative to the regular fried chicken and takes a lot less prep time to make. Put it in the slow cooker in the morning and let it go. I just love leaving for wok and coming home to a finished delicious meal! This is a crock pot recipe you will want to make again and again!
Fried Slow Cooker Chicken Ingredient:
1 (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 Cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried sage leaves or dried oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Butter or Vegetable oil
Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry. Combine flour with the remaining ingredients except butter. Toss chicken pieces with flour mixture to coat. In skillet, heat butter to 1/4 inch depth and cook over medium heat until golden brown. Place browned chicken in a slow cooker, adding wings first, add NO liquid. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
