The smell of snickerdoodle cookies takes me back to my childhood!

“A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand” (unknown)

Say snickerdoodle cookies and I think back to when I was kid. My next door neighbor had a family of 5 sisters. Their favorite cookies to bake were snickerdoodles. Whenever I went over there to play, I was met at the door with the sweet smell of vanilla and cinnamon. Of course I always got to sample the newest batch.

This Snickerdoodle cookie gift in a jar recipe is super easy to make. The cookies are absolutely delicious!

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

1 1/2 cups white sugar

In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, cream of tartar, and sugar. Stir with a whisk, then place into a one quart canning jar. Attach a tag with the following recipe to the jar:(see below)
