Summer picnics, family reunions, 4th of July celebrations and parties... Do I need to go on? There are so many opportunities during the summer to make and give homemade summer gifts. I will be the first to admit that I love summer! Yes, being a teacher I am on my summer vacation, but that's not what I like. I LOVE the warm weather, the small of a charcoal grill, the sound of laughter at a party, Fourth of July fireworks, bare feet, and a good thunderstorm. A homemade gift is especially fun to create with kids at this time of year. "Mom, I'm bored, there's nothing to do!" If your kids are like mine, I am sure you have heard that before.
